the want list

fendi cuff, by malene birger cotton gauze shirt (available here), j brand jeans (available here), gucci bag,
tory burch flats (available here), gucci aviators (available here), alexis bittar ring (available here), nars nail polish in dovima  (available here)

For a while, I've been on the hunt for a statement piece-you know, the one piece of jewelry to wear with a monochromatic outfit, and still look chic. I think I found THE perfect one! This Fendi cuff is gorgeous, as are all things Fendi, and it's gold, which is one of my all-time faves!

These past few weeks, as I've been getting dressed I have been wishing I had a certain piece in my closet..that would be a gauze button-down shirt! This By Malene Birger cotton gauze shirt is perfect.

As you may already know from one of my older posts, I adore color (even though I don't always wear a lot of it) and I am obsessing over colored jeans! These pink J Brands are to die for.

Oh Gucci. How I love anything and everything Gucci. This bag is amazing, and I could see myself wearing it again and again!

As I have previously mentioned in an old post, I do not own a pair of flats! Yes, I know, I am even shocked by my lack of this staple piece. There's something about flats that can make one look effortlessly polished-and in this gorgeous leather, I may not be able to resist.

Sunglasses. Oh how I love sunglasses. Throughout the years, I've acquired a rather nice collection of sunnies..but I really don't have any brown-tortoise ones! These Gucci's are amazing, and I have already put in plenty of hints for my 17th birthday (that is still months away, but it's never to early to hint!)

Rings. I am obsessed with rings. It began when I was little, I would stare and drool in awe at my grandmother's. I have always had a love for rings, and this Alexis Bittar ring must become a part of my collection.

Red nail polish, as you all know, is a favorite of mine. This NARS nail polish in Dovima is a bright tomato red, and I need it. NARS nail polish goes on amazingly, and I am surprisingly good at doing my own nails when I use colors from NARS!

caviar dreams

h&m dress, missoni scarf, tory burch flats, vintage fendi bag from grandma

While getting dressed the other morning, I decided to go with a comfortable outfit for the day.
Being that I had a manicure/massage appointment for later on in the day, I wanted to be as
comfortable as I could without sacrificing my style - a maxi dress will do that!

I absolutely adore this bag. The story behind it is one of my favorites,
perhaps I'll share it with you all in the near future!

As for my manicure, a whopping ten minutes after picking out a color (I don't know about anyone else, but it takes me forever to pick my color out!) I decided to go with a favorite of mine: O.P.I's Vodka and Caviar. To me, red nail polish is classy and timeless, and can be worn by anyone.

Do you have a favorite nail polish color?

easter sunday

1st photo: bcbg dress, j. crew necklace, rolex watch, lily pulitzer dress
4th photo: ralph lauren shirt, j. crew jeans, coach sandals
6th/9th photos: michael michael kors cork pumps

Here are some snaps from our Easter celebration. Since we hosted the holiday, we were busy for most of the day, but still managed to sneak a few photos in. In keeping with the sunshine-y happy day, we both opted for pastel colors and girly frocks. (Sally even managed a wardrobe change!)

All in all, it was a wonderful day filled with our favorite people and delicious food cooked by our Mommy
(We helped with desserts - check out that carrot cake bunny)!

How did you all celebrate?? We hope everyone's day was lovely regardless!

a different dimension

h&m blazer, american apparel shirt, joe's jeans, sam edelman booties, necklace by grandma, chanel clutch

Being that there was a slight chill in the air, and that Spring STILL hasn't sprung,
I put on a pair of my favorite bootcut jeans and my new blazer.
I grabbed my Chanel clutch - a gift from my Grandma - and I was out the door for a night of fun.

This necklace is very special, as my Grandma designed it as a gift for my Mommy.
My Grandma Sally is a true inspiration- not only with fashion, but with family, friends and work.
She has THE best taste and style and is always a source of such amazing advice for everything!
She, along with my mother and sister, is one of my best friends.

remnants

j. crew tuxedo shirt, vintage levi cutoffs, herm├Ęs belt, j. crew pea coat,
coach bangle, galapagos bracelet, tiffany rings, joan & david boots,
hue tights, ray ban wayfarers, chanel purse

Some leftovers from a day of exploring. I happily accompanied my lovey to the MoMA as he chose a piece of art to write about for his latest class assignment. Any excuse for me to immerse myself in art and creativity. Then we ventured downtown for a late lunch with my Mommy at Peels. If you've never been, it's seriously worth a trip! Food is secretly my first love, and my egg and pepperjack biscuit was absolutely scrumptious.

I picked up my vintage cutoffs at Ralph Lauren in East Hampton a few years back. For that reason, they will always remind me of summer (I'm yearning for the day I can wear them sans tights!). My lovey's parents brought me back this bracelet from a recent trip they took to the Galapagos - I'm diggin' the print. As a side note, I was equally intrigued by the graffiti-laden doors we passed by as I was by the art housed in the MoMA. In a strange way, they're almost a reflection of the creative and ever-changing atmosphere that is the city.

P.S. as promised, a 'taste' of our sushi:

spring break

forever 21 tank, h&m chinos, urban outfitters cardigan, c&c california tank,
tory burch necklace, forever 21 bangles, tiffany rings, chanel purse,
michael michael kors loafers, ray ban wayfarers, rolex watch

First official day of spring break; sunny, warm, and breezy. Ah, Perfection.
Ventured outdoors to frolic with my pup, B, who, as you can see in the photo, was more than thrilled to be frolicking with me!!!! (...). It was all about bright and happy thoughts today, and I let my outfit translate them. I'm loving that this season's all about color - it makes for a cheerier world. And it's our way to exact a little sweet revenge towards a truly dark and grey winter.

I ended an oh-so gorgeous day at a sushi-making class with my lovey for a belated anniversary celebration. As it turns out, we are both quite the sushi-masters. Pictures as proof to follow ;)

Props to my photographer, Sals. (lookin' good in the reflection of my Ray Bans)

i scream, you scream

ralph lauren shirt, j. crew jeans, sperry topsiders, gucci belt
Since I was unable to do anything about this gloomy weather, I decided to wear an outfit that screams 'spring.' In my effort to put together an ensemble that would convince me that it actually is spring, I discovered this shirt lying around in my mother’s closet, and I came to the conclusion that it was perfect for the day! It turns out that this shirt is Jilly’s, but I figured that she wouldn’t really mind sharing with me ;)
