sisterly love
Did I forget to mention that Anabela has a sister?! Her name is Lia, and she showed up in a big box on Christmas morning as well! Naturally they're inseparable - let's see what happens when they share the same outfit, shall we?
It seems they get along just as well as another sister duo I know ;)
Speaking of sharing, remember when we scored a ton of goodies from the Missoni for Target collection?! Well we've been receiving boxes for months now, and the latest arrival was this cardigan! In all of the madness we managed to snag one, so we'll have to pass it around among the three of us - yes, Mommy is included!

on your mark
After receiving a frantic text message from one of my friends who declared that she had "absolutely NOTHING to wear on New Years Eve" I knew that she was in dire need of a shopping trip! I quickly got dressed and was on my way (a promise of shopping gets me ready to go in .5 seconds. Seriously.)
As for my nails, I was wearing my absolute favorite color - Dragon by Chanel! I must admit, I am highly influenced by my Grandma, as her signature nail polish is also a gorgeous red by Chanel!

caped crusader
Here are the Anabelas in action! Along with this new cape I picked up on a post-Christmas shopping trip with lovey. I've really been digging plaid lately, and this was on super super sale.
I've learned the key to mastering these boots is practice - baby steps for now.

a few of our favorite things
The week before Christmas, our house is filled with the most delicious smells of goodies being whipped up from morning 'til night. Waiting to finally eat these treats is equally as hard as waiting to open our presents.
They are (perhaps) much less tempting in digital form, but we'll let you decide for yourselves.. ;)
Our favorite Aunt Rosie's thumbprint cookies have become a more recent Christmas staple! Snag a recipe, here.
Struffoli, little fried dough balls smothered in honey, are synonymous with Christmas in our house! It's our Grandma's family recipe that's been passed down for generations (you know, kind of like feather sweaters). Topped off with sprinkles, we're lucky if any of these see Christmas day!
And finally, the pièce de résistance, our personal fave, Mommy's rice balls! Stuffed with melted mozzarella and locatelli cheese. We cannot take the deliciousness. We get a little Grinch-like with these, and hide some for ourselves to enjoy after all our company's gone! (Trust us, you would too!)

sorelle in[spired]: the feather sweater
Okay, you all know Sally and I have stolen many things from our Mommy's closet, but this sweater is of the greatest things that closet houses.
This is what we refer to as "the" sweater, the "feather sweater," which we've always admired in one particular photo of our Momma. It was handpicked and purchased by our Grandma, and has withstood (now three!) generations of stylish women approval (yes, we're including ourselves in that count..)

Now that it actually feels like winter outside, I've had to pile on more and more layers,
so I figured I'd put on my Mommy's super warm Ralph Lauren cashmere poncho!
