I'm not exactly a big shoe person...I mean, I AM a big shoe person, border-line gargantuan in the "shoes-I'd-buy-if-money-were-no-option-and-if-I-had-a-high-tolerance-for-pain" department, but when it comes to shoes that I personally own, the number is pretty shallow.
With that being said, I've always loved loafers (or smoking shoes, which I'd prefer not call them due to the fact that the name sounds like the wearer is involved in illegal acts and/or is Hugh Hefner). I was the kind of little girl who did not lust after Cinderella's glass slippers (ouch) but I always wanted a pair of the Gucci loafers that were, and still are, commonly worn by my favorite Uncle. So, if you can imagine my happiness as they are now in style for women, I am definitely going to partake in the trend and purchase a few pairs of loafers...and I'll probably be the only person who will still be wearing them long after the trend is over.
