did it myself

The other night we were watching an episode of Kourtney and Kim Take NY (one of our biggest guilty pleasures, for sure), and I became instantly obsessed with Kourtney Kardashian's cut-out-shoulder plaid shirt. Like, I was literally ready to cut up any article of clothing I could find first. Thankfully, I did a little rummaging before snipping, and came across this baby, ready and ripe for a little trim.

So I broke out the Sharpies and marked off the perfect spot on both shoulders
(I tried the shirt on, first, just to be sure)..

..then for the snippity snips. I cut out an oval (freehand, yes, I'm skilled) on one shoulder, and tried the shirt on again (do this to make sure the opening's the right size! tip: try to cut outside of your bra-strap, so it won't peek through under the shirt..unless you want it to..). Then I matched up the oval on the other side and cut away..

Et voilĂ ! Look Ma, no shoulders!

Lovey was introduced to my new creation right after it was completed. He thought it was pretty cool, and then he said "well, won't you be cold in it?!" To which I replied..

...furry trapper hat. Boom, roasted.

And, oh yeah, I'M DONE WITH FINALS!

DIY FYI: plaid shirt (available here), furry trapper hat (available here),
skinny jeans (available here), gold bangles (available here), leather belt (available here)
