Layering to beat the cold is nothing new, but doubling up on outerwear has become my favorite sneaky way to take on the season! Sure, this jacket works just as well alone, but throw a vest on top and you've got yourself a brand new look (and a new reason to love Fall!).

what to pack: the hamptons

After unpacking from my last trip out east, I finally took stock of what I wore/didn't wear in an effort to streamline the packing process (and perhaps bring one overnight less!) for next time. My conclusion: mix and match pieces are key. Minus the PJs and toiletries, this is the ultimate, tested-and-approved, "What to Pack" Hamptons weekend list! red and green

I'm normally not one to mix red and green. The combo often feels a bit "holiday-y." But these sneakers have me searching for new ways to mix and match red, so I gave this olive green jacket a go! The slightly brick red against the more subdued green (tempered by deep browns and black) made for a harmonious little blend.

I am DONE with my final final of the semester! This calls for a celebration. While the rest of my classmates will be (gainfully?) employed over the summer, I will be slacking off and loving every bit of it. BUT, before you jump to conclusions about me and my (practically non-existant) work ethic, I'll let you know I have a few tricks up my sleeve and some fun things in the works, like a little field trip tomorrow with the Refinery 29 peeps!

The weather was so amazing this weekend. I'll take as many Spring teasers as Winter is willing to give me! I was searching for a new way to wear my cut-out shoulder shirt, so I decided to let some stripes peek through. It's not every day you get to rock a furry headband (especially ones of Lisa Vanderpump proportions!),
which is why I reveled in the falling snow! I also got to break out the UGG gloves for the first time this year -
UGGs are just as toasty on your fingertips, who knew?

autumn twist

A maxi dress with booties - do or don't? Well I did it, and I liked it.

Sally wore the same outfit minus the booties and jacket back in April. I decided to warm it up a bit for fall.

That's the good thing about having a sister - not only can you steal her clothes*,
you can copy her outfits sans-guilt!


*we each have out own dress and scarf, though - we don't share evvverything
