I'm loving their printed flats paired with skinnies for day, and their dressier options (which tuck neatly away into my bag!) for night as a comfy backup to accompany me at all upcoming fêtes.

how to wear: ankle boots

I searched high and low for the perfect pair of ankle boots. I went studded, buckled, pointy, flat - you name it, I've tried it. My feet were ready to face another Fall/Winter without the ankle boot, relegating themselves to the riding boot or all-to-familiar combat boot. However, a chance trip to Zara.com changed my foot fate forever when I spotted these black, shiny, oh-so-perfectly heeled babies!
It was love at first sight.

Now that the waiting game is over and I no longer worry about finding the pair of my dreams, it's time to brainstorm ways to wear them! Here are two outfit ideas for day and night

Here's another way we styled up sweatpants for our StyleCaster series! This time we took a cue from designers like Alexander Wang and went full-on sweats-on-sweats. We broke up the monochromatic look with a pair of colorful kicks, and a must-have beanie.

Beyond happy Spring decided to show its sunny face this weekend! I am so ready to shed those winter layers. I've had my eye on mirrored sunnies for a while, and thankfully Sally bought a pair for herself (one of the perks of having a sister!). I'm normally not one to mix red and green. The combo often feels a bit "holiday-y." But these sneakers have me searching for new ways to mix and match red, so I gave this olive green jacket a go! The slightly brick red against the more subdued green (tempered by deep browns and black) made for a harmonious little blend.

When Weather.com says it feels like 6°, my motto becomes: the chunkier the scarf and the cozier the sweater, the better. This is what I wore to brave the windy streets yesterday along travels that included a stop at Ladurée for macarons and the Doughnut Plant for donuts. Don't ask.

dress me up in thermals

I haven't properly expressed my love for these Free People thermals on the blog, and I'm not sure any words can adequately convey the coziness. Let's just say that I picked one up in every color, literally. Now that I'm back to 6AM wake-ups, I'm all for sneaky pajama dressing, and thermal is the way to go.
