A maxi dress with booties - do or don't? Well I did it, and I liked it.

Sally wore the same outfit minus the booties and jacket back in April. I decided to warm it up a bit for fall.

That's the good thing about having a sister - not only can you steal her clothes*,
you can copy her outfits sans-guilt!


*we each have out own dress and scarf, though - we don't share evvverything

I was absolutely freezing yesterday. Since staying home under the covers, watching TV, with a cup of home-made hot chocolate was sadly not a possibility, I had to wear an outfit that would keep me warm! I grabbed my H&M scarf which helped me battle the chill in the air. I realized that I only have about two or three scarves and I could definitely benefit from owning a few more. They really can transform any outfit!

These basic Fall and Winter accessories are some of my absolute favorites..those leopard print gloves must be mine. Pronto. And don't even get me started on that Alexander McQueen velvet scarf...

Through the years, I've learned that not much good comes out of dreading school - so I've (more recently) decided to look at the bright side - the beginning of a new school year entails a shopping trip for some new items to spruce up both my mood and my wardrobe!

I've picked a few pieces that are both back to school basics and some that I believe are necessary for transforming any outfit. Whether it be a fun backpack, a simple pair of flats to be worn over and over again, a blazer, a statement necklace or scarf to add something new to an old ensemble, this is my list of what to buy! Of course, for me, a fall staple is a long-sleeved mini dress-perfect to be worn over some tights, or in the cooler days, some leggings! The Rosebud Salve was on my want list because it the best moisturizer, hands down, and I believe one should never leave their house without a lip moisturizer!

Also added to the list was the NARS nail polish in Arabesque. As a back to school ritual, every year I go with my Mommy to the nail salon and get a fun, cheerful color to brighten up the dreadful mood that school puts me in - this color is so pretty and feminine, I love it!

Hope everyone has a lovely transition into fall - school starts tomorrow for me!

This is my idea of a perfect summer outfit. The blazer is a good addition for a breezy evening.
I am absolutely in love with the Missoni flip-flops - what better way to show off a pedi in the summer?!?

caviar dreams

h&m dress, missoni scarf, tory burch flats, vintage fendi bag from grandma

While getting dressed the other morning, I decided to go with a comfortable outfit for the day.
Being that I had a manicure/massage appointment for later on in the day, I wanted to be as
comfortable as I could without sacrificing my style - a maxi dress will do that!

I absolutely adore this bag. The story behind it is one of my favorites,
perhaps I'll share it with you all in the near future!

As for my manicure, a whopping ten minutes after picking out a color (I don't know about anyone else, but it takes me forever to pick my color out!) I decided to go with a favorite of mine: O.P.I's Vodka and Caviar. To me, red nail polish is classy and timeless, and can be worn by anyone.
