I can't lie - after the bar exam, I had a serious problem transitioning back to normal clothes (you know, those that are not sweatpants/pajamas). I've since come to realize that there's nothing wrong with being a little comfy all the time. Be it in flats, an oversized sweater, or - dare I say it - leggings.

Now I'm totally of the "leggings are not pants" school. But, I'm also a firm believer that when styled properly, leggings can be a worthy substitute. The key is the length of your top - it must be on the longer side. For instance, when paired with hi-top sneakers and a chunky sweater (above), or a tunic-length button-down and booties (below), leggings pass quite convincingly (and comfortably!) as most structured, street-ready garments.

Greetings from the not-so-sunny east coast! To celebrate Sally being done with high school, we headed out to the beach for a week-long getaway. Aside from today's gloomy weather, it's been nothing but sunshine and fun! As many of you may know, on June 11th I celebrated my 18th birthday!! The day was filled with family, delicious food and presents! Amongst all of the gifts I was given, I'd have to say that I was most surprised by two of them, my new sunglasses and my new bracelet! As you may remember from previous want lists, I've had my eye on these Gucci aviators for quite some time - and my very generous brother got them for me (he's the best!) My bracelet was a total surprise - and I'm absolutely in love with it!

As you guys may know, on Monday we celebrated Sally's 18th birthday! As per family tradition, we all headed out to lunch together. In an unexpected twist, we all (including our Mommy!) ended up wearing identical maxi dresses! So lunch turned into a lesson in remixing - one piece, three different ways!

I've wanted an iPad ever since it came out two years ago. I'd play with my friends' iPads. I'd look online to view the features that it had. I decided I'd wait, because like everything Apple, the second you buy something, the next day they release something newer, faster, and better. This year, my always way too generous Uncle gave me money for Christmas- and I knew exactly what I would buy with it - a black iPad 2! (I bet you $10 that any day now they will announce that an iPad 3 is coming out.)

Its safe to say that I'm obsessed with my newest toy, and in order to keep my iPad looking fabulous and fashionable, I must buy some cases for it! These are my absolute favorite ones :D

My iPad was one of, if not THE favorite Christmas present of mine this year!

This skirt is the latest addition to my closet! You like?

This Chanel bag is probably one of my most favorite bags - it's small, structured, and is perfect to carry around the basics! On my sixteenth birthday my Grandma told me to go into one of her closets (it's a walk-in closet designated for bags and shoes...seriously it's like Hirshleifer's in there!) and pick something that I liked! I chose this one, and it's honestly one of my favorite bags ever!

....andddd how are you all liking my new hair!? It's not the exact blonde I wanted, but I am loving it!

Kenneth Jay Lane thrown in the mix (but at an H&M price, of course - score!)
