on the deck

I wasn't kidding about these neon shorts - endlessly wearable, peeps! Straight into the luggage they went for this week's festivities, along with my chambray shirt, which is slowly becoming one of my most-worn items. I find myself gravitating towards pieces like these - ones that can be mixed and matched with virtually anything! They certainly make packing light easy..

golden touch

american apparel chiffon oversized shirt (similar style here), j. crew peacoat (available here),
american apparel nylon tricot legging (similar style here), chanel belt (stolen from mommy's closet - similar style here),
rolex watch (stolen from daddy - similar style here), riding boots (similar style here), hanes tank (similar style here)
The unpredictability of the weather around here has made it hard to dress these past few weeks. I've come to the conclusion that it's best to be prepared when it comes to clothing - and with my peacoat, I am ready for whatever weather may strike! While an all black outfit may seem a bit too uniform, a simple accessory is all it needs to spruce it up!

forever 21 shirt (similar style here), hanes shirt (similar style here), green envelope skirt (similar style here), gucci necklace, j crew bracelet (similar style here), rings and earrings from grandma, sam edelman booties (available here), chanel bag (similar style here)
This skirt is the latest addition to my closet! You like?
This Chanel bag is probably one of my most favorite bags - it's small, structured, and is perfect to carry around the basics! On my sixteenth birthday my Grandma told me to go into one of her closets (it's a walk-in closet designated for bags and shoes...seriously it's like Hirshleifer's in there!) and pick something that I liked! I chose this one, and it's honestly one of my favorite bags ever!
....andddd how are you all liking my new hair!? It's not the exact blonde I wanted, but I am loving it!

Some weeks, when lovey's finished with classes, we make a mad dash out east to his summer house for the weekend. This means long car rides, which call for comfy clothes! Nothing too underdressed, though, as my cruising outfit typically becomes my dinner attire.
So what do I do? Pile on most of the jewelry I'll be wearing for the weekend and layer a breezy button-down over an otherwise average look. I add the hat and sunglasses when I really want to go incognito. Throw an iPod into the mix and I'm all set for some traveling fun!
Now I'm just waiting for my ride to arrive ;)
